Mission:
  • The Practice Committee’s mission is to identify innovative ways of including practitioners in the Division activities, while also building cooperative relationships with the practitioner community. The Committee’s activities include developing liaisons with practitioners for the purpose of sharing knowledge between the worlds of practice and research. Through these activities, the Committee serves as a liaison between the Division and corporations, governmental organizations, publishers, grant and funding agencies, and non-governmental organizations, in order to exchange ideas, form inter-organizational links, and raise auxiliary funds for the Division.

  • Bridging the Gap between Research and Practice

    Collaboration – HCMD and the Journal of Healthcare Management

    Effective January 1, 2009, the Journal of Healthcare Management (JHM) will publish up to six (6) abstracts of the Division’s Best Papers presented at the AOM’s Annual Meeting. JHM is the official journal of the American College of Healthcare Executives. JHM offers timely healthcare management articles that inform and guide executives, managers, educators, and researchers. JHM also contains regular columns written by experts and practitioners in the field that discuss management-related topics and industry trends. Each issue presents an interview with a leading executive.
