Mission:

• The Research Committee’s mission is to identify and develop innovative ways to promote, encourage, and support the research efforts of the members of the Division with particular emphasis on establishing cooperative relationships and networks with other associations and institutions. These activities include the development of resources (e.g., communicated online, via collaborative activity, and at regional, specialty and national meetings) that can be used by the members to enhance research and scholarship.
  
  The Division Chair appoints members to the Research Committee, subject to approval by a majority of the elected members of the Executive Board, and after consultation with the Committee’s Chair. Members are appointed to overlapping 3-year terms. The Division Chair appoints the Chair of the Research Committee, who serves in a liaison role between the Committee and the Executive Board.
