The Academy of Management holds New Member orientation Sessions for new members of the Academy at its annual meeting. The 2010 Annual meeting is in Montreal, Canada, with convention activities starting on Friday, August 6th. Check the Academy of Management 2010 Conference Website for exact orientation times. 

The Management Consulting Division does not have a formal new member orientation. A great way to meet our membership is to Attend an informal Dinner we have where Division members socialize and discuss issues during dinner, and then have a featured speaker to stimulate after-dinner discussions. In Toronto we were fortunate to have Andre Delbecq as our featured speaker. In Washington D.C. we enjoyed the conversation of Billie Alban and Barbara Bunker. Edgar Schein delighted the group in Atlanta. Each year a luminary in our field graces us with intelligent offerings after a delightful dinner.
