Domain
Statement
The domain of the Managerial and Organizational Cognition Division (MOC)
is the study of how organization members model reality and how such
models interact with behaviors. Major topics include: attention, attribution,
decision making, ideology, information processing, learning, memory,
mental representations and images, perceptual and interpretive processes,
social construction, and symbols.

Awards
MOC offers two recognition awards as part of the annual meeting of AOM.
The first
award is for the best competitive paper. This award is sponsored by
Lawrence Erlbaum Associates.
The second
award is for the best student paper. The paper may be coauthored but
the first author must be a student. This award is sponsored by the British
Journal of Management. Authors wishing their papers to be considered
for this award must clearly identity themselves as students on the title
page when submitting the paper. For additional information, please contact
the Program Chair.
